The California College Republicans (CCR) has unanimously voted to condemn the Biden Administration for it’s reversal of the Mexico City policy, which will permit taxpayer funding of foreign abortions.
The Mexico City policy was instituted by President Trump in January 2017, though first introduced by President Reagan in 1985. The order blocked federal funding for non-governmental organizations that provided abortion-related counseling and services abroad. “I’m disgusted that Biden decided to repeal the Mexico City policy, especially during Sanctity of Life Month. Not only is abortion and the loss of human life horrendous on its own, but taking this action this month is an even greater slap in the face to pro-life activists. The utter disregard for the lives of babies, while simultaneously spouting ‘if it just saves one life’ rhetoric over Covid lockdowns, seems like pure hypocrisy. To Joe Biden, your life only matters if it’s politically expedient. We must protect all life, reinstitute the Mexico City policy, and deny the ‘America Last’ direction of sending our money overseas,” said Nick Ortiz, Chairman of the California College Republicans. CCR will not support the taxpayer funding of abortion and will fight to protect the unborn. Biden and his radical anti-life and ‘America Last’ policies must be stopped for the good of the country. ### CCR is California’s original and oldest College Republican organization. Founded 57 years ago in 1963, CCR continues to provide volunteers and conservative activism for the cause.
